A New Jersey appeals court was asked to reopen the case of a law professor accused of engaging in the unauthorized practice of law, after a state Supreme Court ethics committee refuted the court’s prior ruling in the case.
A December 2022 ruling of the Supreme Court Committee on the Unauthorized Practice of Law dictates that the Appellate Division should reconsider its July 2021 ruling in Johnson v. McClellan, according to a motion filed Friday.
